Oracle introduced the concept of Lifetime Support approximately a year ago. Basically, Oracle will now support products for a period of five years from the general availability date. This new policy applies to many, if not all, Oracle products and gives the customer some control over when they wish to upgrade. Click here for more information about Oracle's Lifetime Support Policy. You can also view the datasheet and a FAQ document.
Technically, support for Oracle 9.2 ends July 2007. But you can purchase Extended Support for Oracle 9.2 for an additional three years, until July 2010. I believe you must be on the terminal release of Oracle9i Release 2 which is 188.8.131.52 to benefit from Extended Support.
