When does 2035 error occur?

When does Oracle error 2035 "illegal bundled operation combination" occur?
This error occurs when you are making a call that does not have the proper set of operations. I know that doesn't sound very specific, that's because there are many reasons why this occurs, depeding on your applicaton platform. For instance, if you are using an application developed with one OCI version and you upgrade your Oracle software to a new version, the application may have to be compiled with the new OCI libraries in order to work. If not, then the ORA-2035 can arise because of the differences in libraries.
