What version should I install on my PC for home study?

I am a beginner in the Oracle field and want to study it at home. I am planning to install the Oracle database along with the tools (Developer, Forms, Reports, Discoverer). Which version of Oracle or Personal Oracle and its tools should I install and run on my PC?

I am a beginner in the Oracle field and want to study it at home. I am planning to install the Oracle database along with the tools (Developer, Forms, Reports, Discoverer) in my PC back home. My PC specification is P4 RAM 512 Windows XP Pro SP 1. Please help me -- which product/version of Oracle or Personal Oracle and its tools should I install and run on my PC? Thank you.

If your PC only has 512 MB of RAM, that will likely be insufficient to run Oracle Personal Edition database plus Forms, Reports, etc. If you are new to Oracle and want to learn, you might consider installing Oracle Database Express Edition. The memory requirements for it are 256 MB minimum but 512 MB recommended. The installation guide can be found here.

After you install the product, you can read the Getting Started Guide and you can also work through this tutorial.
