Using the Oracle C++ Call Interface (OCCI)

Oracle expert Brian Peasland explains if it is possible to connect C++ applications to an Oracle database with the Oracle C++ Call Interface.

I am designing software called 'Bank Automation System' in C++. I have just started making my software and all I want to know is if it is possible to connect a C++-based software to an Oracle database? If so,how?
