Using 8 and 8i on same machine

In my machine (AIX Unix), both Oracle 8 and Oracle 8i are installed. Sometimes I need Oracle 8 to be active and sometimes Oracle 8i. What changes do I have to make in the OS level to achieve this task?

>You can run both at the same time. Or you can run them seperately. In either case, to start and access your database, you need to set your environment variables correctly for your specific version you are using. The following document on Technet describes the environment variables you will need to set and their values:

If you have never been to Technet before, you will have to sign up for a free account before you will be able to access the documentation.
