User IDs keep getting locked

I have an Oracle 10.2.0.3 database and some of the user IDs keep getting locked.

I have an Oracle 10.2.0.3 database and I have created several IDs in the same way but some of the user IDs keep getting locked. They are all using the default profile. Any insight into a solution to this problem?
The default profile in 10.2.0.3 changed from earlier releases. In earlier releases, the default profile allowed for an unlimited number of invalid password attempts. In 10g, this default is now set to 10. So I would surmise that someone or some application is attempting to connect with the wrong password and after 10 times, the account gets locked. The correct solution is to figure out who (or what) is doing this and get it resolved from there. I don't believe that the correct solution is to change the default FAILED_LOGIN_ATTEMPTS to unlimited.
