Upgrading client machines

Before upgrading our database to Oracle 10g, we are slowly upgrading the 200 client workstations to 10g using the Oracle9i database. Are there scripts to monitor the sessions from the 10g client machines to see if everything is OK?

Hi Maria. Before upgrading our database to Oracle 10g, we are slowly upgrading the 200 client workstations to 10g using the Oracle9i database. Are there scripts to monitor the sessions from the 10g client machines to see if everything is OK?
I am not aware of a specific tool, per se, that will monitor sessions from the client machines, although you can see connections to your database by using a tool like Toad or Oracle's Enterprise Manager. You can also monitor the listener log for any non-zero return codes, or search for TNS errors. If you cannot connect from a client machine to your database after the client upgrade, you can turn on client tracing via Oracle Net to troubleshoot the problem.
