We have Oracle 22.214.171.124 running on Red Hat AS 2.1. We are considering upgrading the operating system to Red Hat AS 3.0 or Red Hat AS 4.0. Oracle 126.96.36.199 appears to be certified on Red Hat AS 3.0 but I'm not sure if there are any steps that need to be done to protect Oracle 188.8.131.52 and have it work on Red Hat AS 3.0? Also, is it true that Oracle 184.108.40.206 is not certified on Red Hat AS 4.0? Oracle documentation isn't the best. Thanks.
According to Oracle's
, Oracle Enterprise Edition release 9.2 is certified for both Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES 3 and 4. With Red Hat Linux AS/ES 4, however, the certified patchsets are listed as 220.127.116.11 to 18.104.22.168 (projected Q3CY2006) so you may want to consider patching your database to 22.214.171.124 first, and then upgrading your operating system.
