Transferring a user and its tables to another installation

I'd like to transfer an Oracle user with its tables to another Oracle installation (from Oracle system a, 8.1.7, to Oracle system b, 9.2.0.4.0, via Oracle client 10.2.0.0.0). So the result should be all tables and their rows. What is the best way to do it? I have learned that you cannot use exp/imp because I get an error message during the import.

ORA-06550: line 1, column 33:
PLS-00302: component 'SET_NO_OUTLINES' must be declared
ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
PL/SQL: Statement ignored
Any suggestions on what to do?
You received the PLS-302 error because you are trying to use the Oracle 10g export utility to dump the earlier Oracle version's data. Use the Oracle 8.1.7 export utility to perform the OWNER export. Then use the 9.2.0 imp utility to import into your 9i database.
