Tool for determining what is installed on Oracle 7.3.4 and 8.1.6

Is there a tool or script that will tell me exactly what I have installed on servers running Oracle 7.3.4 and 8.1.6?

The Oracle Universal Installer was first released with 8.1.5 and has been used ever since. So, for the 8.1.6 release, you can run the installer and click the "Installed Products" button on the first screen to see the installed components. I know that I've seen some versions of the OUI also report on other ORACLE_HOMEs it finds (I presume they get the list from the oratab), but not all OUI versions seem to do this.

To find the component listing for the 7.3.4 ORACLE_HOME, open the file $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/unix.rgs (for Unix platforms) FILLIN. This is a text file that lists the components that the installer installed.
