The following error comes up when I insert in this table, but on other tables the insert takes place smoothly. I am using Oracle 126.96.36.199.1 Enterprise Edition.
SQL> INSERT INTO T_PP_APRO_TRAN VALUES(11,'200',2,31,'3','AA',2,200,SYSDATE,'MAN',31) ; INSERT INTO T_PP_APRO_TRAN VALUES(11,'200',2,31,'3','AA',2,200,SYSDATE,'MAN',31) * ERROR at line 1: ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel I have restarted the database but problem is same.
ORA-3113 errors can be tough to diagnose. ORA-3113 means that your communication with the database was severed. But it gives no indication as to why it was severed.
The first thing to check is to make sure that all of your environment variables are correct. After that, check your Alert Log to see if you have additional information. Also check for any trace files from this process in your USER_DUMP_DEST directory. Hopefully, one of those will give you a better indication than a more generic ORA-3113 error.
You may have to work with Oracle Support to get this resolved. But the first thing that they will tell you is to upgrade to Oracle 188.8.131.52.
