Setting up backups with data replication

I want to set up data replication in Oracle 10g (hot sink). The problem is I want backups done automatically side by side.

I want to set up data replication in Oracle 10g (hot sink). I have two Oracle 10g servers, one for production and the other for backup. The problem is I want backups done automatically side by side as the queries have been made and not by the user when he demands a backup. Can you guide me on how to do that if it is possible?
If you are genuinely using the second database as a backup for the first one then the simplest solution to keep this in line with the production would be to set up a Data Guard solution. Oracle will automatically keep the backup database up to date with production; optionally you can "lag" the second database by some time as well. Optionally you can open this database for read-only purposes. I suggest you take a look at Oracle's Data Guard overview.
