Setting up Oracle apps client

I want to setup the Oracle apps client on my machine. How do I do that? I want to customize Forms and Reports within Oracle E-Business Suite.
Well, first we need to know more about your architecture.

What version of the database do you have, and on what server? What is that server's operating system and version?...

What kind of machine are you wanting to run your client on? What operating system and version are you running? How much RAM memory do you have? How much HD space do you have?

Once you have this information in hand, you should check for Oracle Certification and Availability of the software (i.e., what is the best version for you to use?).

Then, what other processes do you run on a regular basis?
