The "size" of the database can mean different things to different people. Typically, there is the allocated space and the used space.

To see the total allocated size of the physical database, run the following query:

SELECT SUM(bytes) AS bytes FROM dba_data_files;
While not all allocated space will be used, you can see the space used by your tables and indexes with the following query:
SELECT SUM(bytes) AS bytes FROM dba_segments;
