Is it possible to reinstall DBCA? It has been deinstalled through the OUI. We are using Oracle 10gR2 on Windows 2000 server. Help please!
Yes, you should be able to reinstall the DBCA. I would recommend stopping all databases and services using your 10g ORACLE_HOME first, start up the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) and check the products that are installed. If this shows that the DBCA has not been installed, you should be able to choose this from the list of products available and install it. If it shows as already being installed, you may first have to uninstall the DBCA before you can reinstall it. This will update the oraInventory with the appropriate information and allow you to reinstall this component.
