I was trying to install Oracle 18.104.22.168 in a Mandrax Linux system, but when I run runInstaller, after getting the first page, it's not taking me to the next screen. It doesn't even give me an error. What to do?
Your problem may stem from the fact that Oracle 9.2 is not certified for this version of Linux. Oracle 9.2 is certified on the following operating systems: UnitedLinux 1.0, SuSE SLES7, SLES-9 SLES-8, Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES 4, Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES 3, Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES 2.1, Red Flag DC Server 4.0 (China Only), Monta Vista Carrier Grade Linux 3.0 (Embedded), Miracle Linux Standard Edition 2.1 (Japan only) and Asianux 1.0.

I have been trying to install Oracle 8.1.7 on SUSE Linux 9.0 and got the error:
"Error in invoking target install of makefile /opt/oracle/...../*.mk."
I'm getting errors while installing the Database Configuration Assistant.
Can I use /var/opt/oracle/oratab to specify listener information?
