Problems installing Oracle 9i on a cyrix CPU

I'm installing Oracle 9i on my VIA cyrix III 550 mhz machine, with 128+64 MB SDRAM on Windows 2000 Professional...

with service pack 4. I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0 and Java Virtual Machine 5.00, but the problem is that universal installer is not running. I'm doubtful the problem is with Java Virtual Machine version. How can my problem can be rectified?

I don't know what the "universal installer is not running" means. Does it start and then fail with an error? Does it just never start at all? What does the installerActions.log file contain?

I know there was an issue with the installer on Pentium 4 systems in 8.1.7, but I don't know of any issues with the 9i installers on any hardware. Then again, I've never heard of any installations on a cyrix CPU, so you may still have a CPU/hardware related issue.
