Problems installing Oracle 9i on Windows 2003 server

I have Oracle 9i, and I am trying to install it on Windows 2003 Server. It is not allowing me to install. It is giving me the message, "not a win32 application." How do I solve this problem? Do I have to install Java first in order to run setup?

You will need to use 9.2.0 and I'm guessing that you've got 9.0.1. Specifically, you must install at least 9.2.0.4 in order to be supported on Windows 2003 server. Obtain the patchset and install it as well before creating your first database.

You do not have to install anything before installing Oracle--just run the setup.exe from the CD-ROM.
