What is a preferred way to go from 9i 22.214.171.124.0 to 10g? And how will I upgrade my 9iAS to 10g? I use the OWB and Oracle Discoverer Plus 126.96.36.199.01. Do you think it's possible?
For a database upgrade from 188.8.131.52 to 10g, I would follow the upgrade procedures provided by Oracle's documentation in most cases. If the database required some physical reorganization, one could choose to utilize the online reorganization features or do an export and import to change the physical attributes of the database organization.
To upgrade 9iAS to OAS 10g, you'll need to follow the upgrade guide for your platform. For the Solaris platform, here's where you'll find the Discoverer upgrade procedure:
All OAS 10g documentation for the Solaris platform can be found here: http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10467_05/docs.htm.
As for possible, well, if Microsoft and Sun can agree to be friends, anything is possible! I would recommend keeping your Oracle support contract current just in case you run into problems along the way.
