Choose the appropriate software for your operating system, and install it in a separate ORACLE_HOME from where the current Oracle9i release 1 software resides. Review the Oracle9i Release 2 (9.2) Database Migration guide to determine which method to use to upgrade your database. Basically, you have three options:
- Upgrade your database in place to Oracle9i release 2.
- Use export/import utilities to upgrade your database.
- Copy your data via a database link between the two databases.
