Hi, I'm having a problem while trying to install an Oracle 10g database on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) via Remote Desktop. When I run setup.exe from the CD, the "please wait" command prompt comes up and the Oracle Universal Installer doesn't come out after the command prompt goes off.
First, ensure that you have downloaded the proper Oracle software for your operating system. Second, which setup.exe file are you running? I'm not certain about installing Oracle on Windows 2003 but I know for Windows XP, there are two setup.exe files. If you click on the one available when you first open the CD, nothing happens. If you migrate down to install/win32 and click on the setup.exe file located there, the OUI does appear.
