I work for a large local government organization. The head of information management, e-government and business support services has instructed me to investigate Oracle Designer with a view to persuading IT management to purchase this case tool, in order that we may properly map all our existing applications so that our documentation is improved and our development projects may be more efficiently documented in the future. The spin-off from this is that all our Oracle applications and all other applications can be mapped at table level for support of other packages across all platforms.
I have only a short period to present a document to the head of IT that will convince him to purchase Oracle Designer as a viable case tool for the entire organization. I would be grateful if you could point me to a good article that is persuasive enough to convince my head of IT to adopt Oracle Designer? I have tried to find a suitable article without any success.
I have very little experience with Designer, and the last version I used was about five years ago, so I'm sure much has changed since then. But I would do some digging on
for the information you seek.
provides tons of white papers, documentation, etc. on Designer.
You can even download an evaluation copy from Technet. You will have to sign up for an account, but registration is free.
