I'm not sure you need to download the XDK unless you want the latest version and didn't install the Java components when you installed your ORACLE_HOME. On my typical, default install on Linux, I already have $ORACLE_HOME/xdk. If you run $ORACLE_HOME/xdk/install/initxml.sql, it will be installed into your database.
As for trying to take a 126.96.36.199 XDK and load it into a 188.8.131.52 DB, I'd only do that with the guidance of Oracle support as I think you may have unpredictable results.
