Installing Oracle 9i and Developer 2000 on Windows XP

I have installed Oracle 9i server on my Windows XP box, and I have installed Developer 2000. After installing, my SQL*Plus doesn't work. How do I install both?

I'm not very familiar with the developer tools, but I don't think that Developer 2000 is supported on Windows XP, and you may be finding out why. If you have an Oracle Home Selector, you could try toggling it to the other ORACLE_HOME and see if that helps. Chances are good that you're hitting an issue with the registry entries or with the PATH variable.

Can't install Developer 2000 on same machine as 9i I have Windows XP and Oracle 9i installed on it. However, whenever I try to install Developer 2000 on it it says that that an Oracle home directory by the name of Ora 9.0 already exists on it.

Oracle not available after restart I have loaded Oracle8i on a Windows XP system. When I restarted my system I got an error message: "ORA-1034: Oracle not found." I changed the property of all the services of Oracle running in my system to "automatic" but still didn't succeed in running Oracle. I had to create a new database with a different global database name and SID, and whenever I restart my system I need to do the whole process again.

Uninstalling Oracle 8 I installed Oracle 8 on my Windows XP system and now I want to uninstall it. How can I do this?
