Installing Oracle 8.1.7 on Red Hat 9

I am planning to install Oracle 8.1.7 on Red Hat 9. Is there a difference between Oracle 9i in terms of configuration on Red Hat 9?
Oracle is Oracle, and Oracle on Linux is very similar to Oracle on any other *nix platform. The differences will be in how you must modify the operating system to accommodate Oracle (like kernel parameters, shell limits, automatic startup/shutdown, etc.). Most of those issues are covered in the installation guide or Werner's site at http://www.puschitz.com.
