Initialization parameters when creating 9i with scripts

I want to create an Oracle9i database using scripts (currently using Oracle 8.1.7). I'm not sure what to do for...

initialization parameters -- can I still prepare and reference an initSID.ora script? You could use DBCA (Database Configuration Assistant) to prompt yourself for all the parameters and options and then at the last step, it asks you to execute it or to save it as a script file. Simply save it as a script file and then go review what DBCA has created. That should point you in the right direction.

But... as a quickie answer to your question.... yes, you can still prepare and reference your own initSID.ora parameter file.
