We have two W2K servers with Oracle8 installed. When it comes to data retrieval from the server onto the local client's hard drive, one server provides an instantaneous transfer BUT the other takes about a half hour for one run to transfer.
The same scenario holds true for two NT servers with Oracle7 installed. Again, one results in an instantaneous transfer BUT the other takes about a half hour for one run to transfer.
We have determined that this is not a LAN issue. Do you know if anyone has experienced similar occurrences? If so, please provide us with a probable cause and solution.
