Follow up to question on ORA-00904 error

I noted your answer to the ORA-00904 error when attempting to select columns of a heterogeneous, connected SQL Server database table. That is, that each column needs to be surrounded by double quotes. Is that as good as it gets? We have an application where we would like to not have this restriction. Any thoughts here?
You can try changing the collation on your SQL Server instance to not be case sensitive by default. This way, passing a table name like "MyTable" and "MYTABLE" would be the same thing.
