First time restoring records from backup

My co-worker just deleted some important records from her table by accident. I am the new Oracle DBA and I have to restore the deleted records. This is the first time I have faced a problem like this. I have backups available. What steps should I take?

Please help me. My job is hanging on this. My co-worker (an Oracle developer) just deleted some important records from her table by accident. I am the new Oracle DBA and I have to restore the deleted records. This is the first time I have faced a problem like this. I am not sure what to do. I have backups available. What steps should I take?
Are you running in ARCHIVE LOG mode? If so, then you can use Log Miner to recover the missing data. Otherwise, you can restore from your last backup and roll forward to the point in time just before the rows were deleted. The exact procedure varies depending on your backup strategy. The Oracle documentation should provide some help.
