I am getting an error message while I am trying to install Oracle9i on my Windows XP machine. It gives me the error message "Oracle Universal Installer: Error in writing to directory C:Docume~1Admini~1Locals~1TempOraInstall. Please ensure that this directory is writable and has at least 25MB of disk space. Installation cannot continue." But I have enough space on my hard disk. Please help me with this issue. Has my cd gone corrupt?
The Oracle Universal Installer performs a number of prerequisite checks prior to beginning the installation. If they fail, the installation of Oracle software will not proceed until these failed checks are remedied. In this case, either the account you are using cannot write to that particular subdirectory or the account is not in the local administrator's group. It may also be possible that while you have sufficient space on the disk, you may not meet the requirements for memory. View
