Doing an export while someone is using the system

What happens if we do an Oracle database export while someone is signed onto the system? Will any files be omitted?

What happens if we do an Oracle database export while someone is signed onto the system? Will any files be omitted? I'm not sure if this has happened or not. The export has not given us any errors thus far, but I'm curious nonetheless.
When you perform an export, Oracle will ensure that all data in the table currently being exported is consistent in time with the time that table began exporting to the dump file. This can mean that two tables are not in sync with each other. To guarantee that the entire dump file is consistent with the point in time the export was started, use the CONSISTENT=Y parameter when running the exp utility.
