Display query taking too long

I have a table achead which has around 500 rows. It has around 10 columns. Our backend is Oracle 8.1.5 and we are using VB6.0 and .Net as the front end. We have a form which queries the achead table and displays the entire table's data. It takes around five minutes to process the rows.

"select * from achead order by ah_name"
Can you kindly suggest me any way to improve the performance of this query? We need all the data and this means FTS. Kindly help.
Try tracing the query. I'd guess that not all of that time is spent in the database. If it's not, look at the other components and try to find what's causing the delay.
