Difference between logging mode and nologging mode

What happens if I put my tablespace in logging mode vs. nologging mode?

I want to know the difference between logging mode and no logging mode of a tablespace. What happens if I put my tablespace in logging mode? What happens if I put my tablespace in nologging mode?

I think the link above covers the topic much better than I can. But I will add that NOLOGGING does not mean that all DML transactions are not written to the online redo logs. This is a popular misconception. The document above clearly outlines what is not logged.
