Database not created and empty error message returned
Universal Installer doesn't create a database and instead shows a message without content, just displaying "error" in the title.
Universal Installer doesn't create a database and instead shows a message without content, just displaying "error" in the title. My operating system is Windows 2000 Professional with service pack 3. Please guide me.
The place to start in this case is to determine what's causing the error. Hopefully, you can find more information in the OUI installer log in c:program filesoracleouilogs and if that doesn't provide additional information, you should look for a log from the DBCA (since you didn't give enough information to determine if OUI or DBCA threw the error) in %ORACLE_HOME%assistantsdbcalog.
If neither of those yields any more information, you should check your system prerequisites once more (ensure that you are logged in as an administrator, etc.) and if you still cannot install, file a TAR with Oracle Support.
