Finally, you will need to configure a listener to allow connectivity via SQL*Plus on your desktop. This can easily be accomplished by invoking the Net Configuration Assistant from the Start menu on your Windows XP machine.
You can modify the service to start both the instance and the database with the oradim command. To see a list of options that can be used with oradim, use the command:
