Changing platforms

Oracle8i running on Solaris 8 64-bit. We would like to move this database to a HP-UX 11 system. We would also like to put the db in recovery on the target system until cutover weekend. Any way to accomplish this using either archive logs or incremental export/imports?
Since you are changing platforms, that limits your choices. Differing platforms precludes you from using Transportable Tablespaces and Standby databases. Your primary choice of moving the data (at least initially) will be to use the export and import utilities. After that, you have two good choices to use on "cutover weekend." You can look at incremental exports, or you can look at using Log Miner to mine the archived redo logs for any changes since your export was taken. From Log Miner, you can generate a script of SQL statements to redo on the new instance.
