With respect to the OCA exams, there are some good guides available. A quick search on Amazon or another bookstore will give you some idea of what is available. I have always had good luck with practice exams from SelfTest Software, but I am sure there are others available. My strategy is to read through the guides available prior to the exam, practice what I can with my own personal database, go through the practice exams and then write the exam. Everyone's approach to writing the exams is different, however. Some people prefer to take a course from Oracle University prior to writing the exams so you will need to determine which method works best for you.
