Can I install the Oracle 8i client and the Oracle 10g client on Windows XP?
You can certainly install both clients, but you may need only one. I don't remember offhand if the 10g client can connect to an 8i database -- try installing just the 10g client, then see if you can connect to the 8i instance. If you can, test your application using the 10g client. If it doesn't work, you can always install the 8i client then.
