Backing up a single table

Is it possible to back up a single table?
Yes and no. Oracle's RMAN does not have the capability to back up a single table. However, you can place a single table in a tablespace all by itself and then backup that tablespace.

Additionally, you can use Oracle's export utility to dump the contents of the table. This is a logical backup. Should you accidentally drop the table, the table you recreate with the export dump is technically a new table to the Oracle database.
