"Aurora assertion failure" error

I upgraded my Oracle version 9.2.0.4 to 9.2.0.6.0. I tried to take an export dump from the 9.2.0.6.0 version and got the following error: "ORA-29516: Aurora assertion failure: Assertion failure at joncomp.c:127 jtc_active_clint_init_ncomp_slots(sun/io/CharToByteConverter, 0) returned 0 EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully." My platform is Developer.

One possible problem is that the upgrade did not complete successfully. You could try re-running catexp.sql as SYS to see if this fixes the problem. If this does not correct the problem, I would recommend opening a TAR with Oracle. The ORA-29516 indicates something failed in the JAVAVM when export tried to call it. To check if you have JAVA installed in your database, run this query:
select count(*) from all_objects where object_type like 'JAVA%'
If the jvm is installed, you should find thousands of objects. If you do not require JAVA in the database, it can be uninstalled by running $ORACLE_HOME/javavm/install/rmjvm.sql.
