Introduction Oracle database security

Date Published:
19 JUN 2003
About the White Paper:
This lengthy white paper explores some basic but important Oracle database security issues. It describes who might hack your system (rival companies, free-thinking engineers, disgruntled employees and more) and explains what kinds of data are most sensitive to attack. While somewhat outdated, this paper is not only a useful primer, but, true to the name ''Oracle,'' it is also an excellent example of database prophecy: ''It is odd that the hacking community has not yet hacked databases. ... This is going to change as databases become more and more sophisticated.''
