Overview by the author

I have been working with Oracle products for a decade now -- primarily as a development DBA. In that time, I've come across some valuable goodies I'd like to pass around. Also, I've run across misunderstandings of Oracle terms and functionality. Many of these misconceptions, I've had myself. Below, you'll get a boatload of tips and tricks you'll find helpful at your office. We'll also talk about several important Oracle concepts that need clarification. I hope to:

  • Provide a database administrator and database developer with practical tips to make your job easier.
  • Expose common myths and misunderstandings with useful SQL and explanations.
  • Load you up with so many tips, your head will bust.
