Last year at Collaborate '07, Oracle revealed its Application Integration Architecture (AIA) strategy, its plan for tying together the myriad applications it's acquired in the past four years. One year later, Oracle is once again making news, inviting partners and independent software vendors (ISVs) to join in and create prepackaged integrations between applications.
At Collaborate '08, SearchOracle.com caught up with Jose Lazares, vice president of application development at Oracle, who has taken over development of AIA. Lazares talked about the progress AIA has made, the latest packaged integrations and the plan for the future.
In this 20-minute podcast, listeners will learn:
- Oracle's strategy for AIA and how it fits with Fusion Middleware and Fusion applications
- The existing prepackaged process integration packs and Oracle's strategy for developing new packs
- Oracle's progress in extending the process packs to specific industries
- The future of AIA collaboration with partners, ISVs and customers
