Intermap Technologies Inc., a maker of 3D geometric data and topographic maps for commercial, government, and consumer applications, recently upgraded to Oracle's new 11g database, becoming the first company using Oracle spatial to store 3D elevation data.

We caught up with Sue Merrigan, senior director of information management systems at Denver-based Intermap, at this year's OpenWorld Conference. Merrigan shared with us how Intermap made the transition to 11g.
