- Paul Baumgartel has been working as an Oracle developer and DBA since 1988 (when the latest release of Oracle was version 5). He specializes in database systems architecture, performance improvement and high-availability solutions. He is currently senior database administrator for a major financial services organization and also provides consulting and training services for clients around the world. The author of curricula in advanced performance optimization techniques, Paul has recently presented seminars for Oracle professionals in New York City, Hartford and Munich. He also speaks frequently for the New York Oracle Users Group and at regional and international Oracle conferences.
