QUESTION POSED ON: 04 October 2002 I am developing a warehouse solution and want users only accessing views. The problem is that as they have read access to the underlying tables, and they can still directly access these via Analyser. What ways can I use to stop them looking in and/or viewing the tables?

Granting the users rights to only the views and not the tables will give you the fine-grained security I believe you're seeking. A DBMS with even a mild level of security sophistication should support this.
