QUESTION POSED ON: 08 October 2009
We have the following problem: Two of eight datafiles of a tablespace were deleted and the database is in noarchivelog mode. There's not any backup and the version is 9i Release 2.0.8. The database is open but the tablespace is offline. Is there any possibility to move the tablespace online? It doesn't matter about the two missing datafiles. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but you will not be able to put the tablespace online. When you attempt it, Oracle verifies the datafile headers for all datafiles belonging to the tablespace. Since you do not have all datafiles, the operation will fail.
