QUESTION POSED ON: 12 August 2009
How do I start multiple instances in Oracle 10g with the archive log? I have a problem with parameter log_archive_dest_1. When I create the second instance with dbca, it gives me the ORA-16032 error.

The reason for the error is that the LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n parameter is not for multiple instances. This parameter applies to only one instance on your database server.
