QUESTION POSED ON: 12 August 2009
One of your previous questions mentioned the method of importing a .DMP dump file into a local database. Could you please explain where I should run the command, and the details of the parameters? I use Oracle version 10.2.0, and the dump has been taken from the same version database.

You run the command from the command line on your database server. The dump file needs to reside on your database server as well. To see the parameters, and examples on how to use the import utility, refer to this Oracle import utility document.
