Is it possible to write a single trigger to update an entire database in a remote machine? (We want to use the trigger to update all database tables).

There is nothing in Oracle to stop you from doing this. However, there is no single SQL statement to perform such an update. This will most likely involve multiple SQL statements, one for each table to be updated in the remote database.
